The 2026 Indiana Girl Report is here.

Created by the Girl Coalition of Indiana in partnership with the Indiana Youth Institute, the report provides a statewide look at the well-being of girls, with county-level data available through an interactive dashboard.

At Women’s Foundation of Indiana, our State of Women in Indiana research focuses on adult women because this important work already exists for girls. Together, the two reports help create a fuller picture of how women and girls are doing across Indiana.

In May, Gary was the first stop on our statewide Women’s Listening Circle tour. Yesterday, we returned for our final conversation of the year to hear from more women about their lives, their community and what they need to thrive.

The return also came after severe storms and power outages left many families across Northwest Indiana facing additional challenges. We’re grateful to Deborah’s Place for providing disaster relief supplies to Sojourner Truth House and the Urban League of Northwest Indiana.

A special thank-you to the entire Sojourner Truth House team for welcoming us back and helping create such a meaningful space for our final conversation.

And to every woman who sat at a table with us across Indiana this year: thank you.

Women’s Foundation of Indiana has surpassed $1.18 million in grantmaking in 2026.

In our latest grant round, we awarded $170,000 to 17 nonprofit organizations working to improve outcomes for women and girls across Indiana. Each organization received a $10,000 grant to strengthen its work and support the communities it serves.

We’re grateful to continue investing in organizations that know their communities, understand what women need to thrive and are doing the work every day. Congratulations to our latest grant recipients.

Today, on Give Like Dolly Day, we’re celebrating the extraordinary life and legacy of Dolly Parton.

Dolly was more than an entertainer. She was a philanthropist who used her success to create opportunities for others, especially children. Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, millions of free books have reached young children around the world, including families across all 92 Indiana counties.

It felt especially fitting to take this photo in the Diane Lounge, named for another great philanthropist whose vision helped launch Women’s Foundation.

Dolly’s music will live on, but so will the opportunities she created for generations of children to read, dream and imagine what is possible.

Jeffersonville marked the final stop on our 11-city Women’s Listening Circle tour.

Women in the community shared their experiences, priorities and ideas for what women and girls need to thrive, adding one more important perspective to what we’ve heard across Indiana this year.

While Jeffersonville was technically our last stop on the tour, we’re not quite finished listening. On Oct. 5, we’ll return to Gary for a follow-up conversation to hear from women whose voices we may have missed the first time.

Next up in our Indiana women-owned business highlights: Réveille Coffee Bar in Lafayette.

While we were in town for our Listening Circle, we stopped by Réveille to meet with Spencer Marsh from BWF Zuri, one of the consultants supporting our work. Réveille is a French-inspired coffee bar serving specialty coffee, pastries and lunch in downtown Lafayette.

We loved supporting another local woman-owned business while connecting over coffee.
