25 years ago our lives were changed forever on 9/11. Even among the profound loss, America showed the world that our flag would still stand and we would not lay down.

Take a moment today to remember all of those who lost their lives on 9/11. Remember the first responders that ran into danger rather than away from it. Remember the ordinary Americans who left their house that morning to go to another day of work that never made it home to see their families. We must make the promise to never forget their loss or their bravery. We must make the promise to always keep our flag flying high even during our darkest times.

We will not forget.
