SOCIETY OFFICER CANDIDATES NEEDED
We are a non-profit corporation and we are required to have elected officers to maintain our business. We are requesting several volunteers to serve as officers. You would serve for either 1 or 2 years and attend quarterly business meetings.
If you are willing to be on the ballot in December, contact our President Barbara Cline Hutchinson via email [[email protected]].
Our busy genealogy society will appreciate it. Deadline is Nov. 30.

The old site is unusable and the new site is running, same web address: genealogyindy.org
This site is part Public files and part Member files. The Member files will not work unless you are a GSMC Member. Follow the prompts to work the sections.

GENEALOGY TIDBITS
This marriage record was straight-pinned into the 1955-56 Teacher Directory, one of many we just scanned. She is not in that Directory or the one following, but she is in the 54-55 one, as a Grade 2 teacher at Lawrence Elementary. Did she quit teaching or move away? We frequently find tidbits like this in other materials. Humans are a tidbit species, especially genealogists.
