Good morning! Sending out a reminder that we have our foster/adoption application link on our bio! We will share and post lots of animals in need of help. Not all are through DDRL. We just love to help spread the word for others!

The Adoption Agreement link is not listed because that’s a different type of agreement. That can only be filled out if DDRL agrees on the adoption.

*No adoption is complete until the adoption fee is paid and DDRL has countersigned the Adoption Agreement! An adopter may not sign for the rescue and payment must be made in full. Otherwise, you’re still fostering the animal. No exceptions.

Our intake is currently CLOSED. All our fosters are at capacity with 2 pending their adoptions. We may be able to help point you in a good direction if you reach out to surrender an animal however we can’t take anymore in.

Dixie’s Dream Rescue is 100% donation-based. While we are not yet a 501(c)(3), we operate with the same standards, practices, rules, and accountability you expect from a nonprofit rescue.

To clear up a common question:
A nonprofit corporation is a state-level legal structure, while 501(c)(3) is a federal tax-exempt status. We are legally organized, transparent, and mission-driven—every dollar goes directly toward the animals in our care.

🐾 Vaccines
🐾 Food & supplies
🐾 Emergency medical needs

Sweet Cindy Lou has been through so much already, and now we’re trying to give her the fresh, healthy start she truly deserves. She needs her spay surgery, updated vaccinations, and a heartworm test to make sure she’s safe, healthy, and ready for her next chapter.

These are essential medical steps—not extras—and they’re a big part of setting her up for a long, happy life. Unfortunately, the costs add up quickly, and we can’t do it alone.

The little emaciated boys arrived this evening. Their little bodies are so heartbreaking, they were shaking as Libby and i walked them past other dogs. They have no idea what is happening, but soon they will understand. It only gets better from here🩷
