Thank you so much, Classical Music Indy for interviewing our artistic directors on our upcoming season!
It's Friday and that means a new Classical Music Indy stream! This stream is available through Thursday, August 27th - don't miss it!
Classical Music Indy is proud to feature a local artist each month on streaming! The featured local artist for August is the Ronen Chamber Ensemble (pictured). Founded by David Bellman and Ingrid Fischer Bellman, the Ronen Chamber Ensemble is a nonprofit arts organization in Indianapolis that collaborates with professional musicians to offer an intimate and high-quality chamber music concert series.
Tune into streaming this week for an interview with the group's current artistic directors Alistair Howlett (flute), Jennifer Christen (oboe), and Gregory Martin (piano) to hear all about their upcoming season including details on three newly commissioned works from local composers, Rob Funkhouser, Catherine Hoelscher, and John Berners.
After the interview, enjoy selections recorded by the artistic directors of the Ronen Chamber Ensemble, including several compositions by Emile Naoumoff, a prolific composer and professor of piano at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. The segment also features selections from the 2026-27 season. Then stay tuned for a new music segment with works by Katherine Hoover, Kevin Puts, Jennifer Margaret Barker, and many more.
