Global Gifts is a 501c3, nonprofit business committed to creating sustainable economic opportunities and safe and equitable working conditions for disadvantaged artisans and farmers around the world. From jewelry & home goods to toys and food items, our stores are filled with handmade, one-of-a-kind items from over 40 different countries. Global Gifts' products are Fair Trade which ensures our items have been produced ethically and the artisans have been paid a fair wage. We pay our artisans upfront for our orders, and we only work with vendors and groups who take great care of their artisans. Being a nonprofit, we rely on our volunteers, donors, and customers to help us support our artisan groups with continued orders. Our volunteers assist our small team of staff in keeping our stores open, helping with special events, fundraising, customer service, and spreading the word about fair trade. We achieve our mission by:
- Providing vital, fair income and employment for people of limited opportunity;
- Marketing ethically produced and ethically obtained handmade products;
- Respecting cultural identity and educating the public about the cultures and traditions associated with items we sell; and

October is Fair Trade Month, and this year, our hearts are especially full of gratitude. 🌍✨

For more than 38 years, the heart of Global Gifts has been the incredible makers, farmers, and artisan groups around the world. Through every hand-carved stone, hand-woven scarf, and ethically grown tea or coffee bean, their skill, culture, and resilience have enriched our community.

Fair Trade is about dignity, equity, and sustainable opportunity:

🌿 Fair Living Wages: Providing reliable income so makers can provide for their families and invest in healthcare and safe housing.

📚 Education & Empowerment: Enabling parents to send their children to school and creating independent economic leadership, especially for marginalized women.

🌱 Environmental Stewardship & Safe Workplaces: Ensuring safe conditions, eliminating forced or child labor, and encouraging sustainable, earth-friendly practices.

Our Mass Ave shop will close its doors on November 1.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has made Mass Ave part of the Global Gifts story. To our customers, volunteers, neighbors and friends who have supported this shop over the years, thank you. It has been a privilege to be part of this community.

You still have time to stop by Mass Ave before November 1, shop our remaining fair trade goods, and say hello. We would love to see you during these final weeks.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the difficult news that Global Gifts will soon be closing its doors.

For 38 years, it has been our profound honor to be woven into the fabric of the communities across Indiana and Ohio. Together, we have championed fair trade principles, supported small farmers and talented artisan partners worldwide and shared meaningful, handmade crafts with our communities.

None of this would have been possible without our dedicated community. We extend our deepest gratitude to every customer who chose to shop with purpose, every volunteer who gave their time and heart, and every team member who helped bring our mission to life.

While we don't have a final closing date to share yet, our journey is nearing its end. In the meantime, our shelves are filled with beautiful fair trade goods!

The Falliday Bazaar is bringing together talented local makers offering high-quality, handcrafted goods—just in time to get a head start on your holiday shopping!

And your visit can make an impact beyond the Bazaar. We’re proud to support local nonprofits, including Changing Footprints, which gives new life to unwanted shoes and gets usable footwear to people who need it. Bring your shoes! We’ll be collecting shoes in ANY condition during the Bazaar. Wearable shoes can find new homes, while shoes that have reached the end of the road can be responsibly recycled.
