DayPeepers Toastmasters Club The club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 7:00 AM at the OrthoIndy YMCA (and via Zoom). There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting.

Distinguished Club - 2012-2013 A Toastmasters meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a no-pressure atmosphere. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the pro

gram’s success. Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings and develop skills related to timekeeping, grammar and parliamentary procedure. Members learn communication skills by working in the Competent Communication manual, a series of 10 self-paced speaking assignments designed to instill a basic foundation in public speaking.

This morning at Daypeepers Toastmasters we continued our speech development series with a second-draft speech titled “The Pause Was Not the End.”

One of the great things about Toastmasters is the opportunity to test ideas, receive feedback, and refine a message over time.

Whether you're building confidence, improving communication skills, or preparing for leadership opportunities, Toastmasters provides a supportive place to grow.

Visitors are always welcome.

After a quiet fall and winter, Daypeepers Toastmasters is back in motion on Facebook.

Despite the lack of posts, we've been meeting, sharing speeches, offering feedback, and reconnecting as a community focused on communication and leadership development.

March will include three meetings where members will be working through the speech development process — from early drafts to refined presentations. It's been great to see the energy return to the room.

If you've ever been curious about Toastmasters, this is a great time to visit.
