📚 One book, two books, a whole year of books!

National Read a Book Day is coming up on Monday, and Willow Lake students are more than ready to celebrate. Thanks to a grant from the Washington Township Schools Foundation, students track every book they read throughout the year, earning opportunities for prizes and an end-of-year celebration that rewards their love of reading.

By encouraging students to turn pages and discover new stories, this program helps build lifelong readers by making reading fun.

Alumni, chat with NCHS students about your career path and their aspirations!

We will be holding Alumni Career Expos to meet a state requirement that all juniors and seniors complete a Career Discovery Meeting (CDM). CDMs are meetings between an outside facilitator (you!) and a group of no more than five juniors and/or seniors.

CDMs last 30 minutes. During the Alumni Career Expo, there will be up to 4 rounds of meetings, an approximately three hour total time commitment. Unable to commit to a full 3 hour event? That's okay! We will work with the time you have.

There is also the opportunity to sign up for career chats that can be arranged on a day and time that are convenient for you.

New clubs. New connections. New opportunities to belong. 🎸🌎

Thanks to grants funded by the Washington Township Schools Foundation, MSDWT Alternative Programs True North Academy students had the opportunity to join school clubs for the first time in the school's history.

From Cultural Connections Club to Guitar Club, these new opportunities are helping students discover their passions, build friendships, and strengthen their sense of belonging.

Because of our incredible donors, much-needed supplies are getting into the hands of Washington Township Schools families recovering from the flood as quickly as possible. ❤️🖤

We continue to be overwhelmed with gratitude for the generosity of our community. As recovery continues, the needs of our families are changing. Our social workers are working directly with families and helping ensure your donations are directed toward what they need most. Your generosity is allowing us to continually restock the donation center while also adding new items as families move back into their homes and transition from the cleanup phase to replacing what was damaged or lost.

This recovery will take time, and your support is helping us respond to families not just in the immediate aftermath, but in the days and weeks that follow.

BASH is an annual event and major fundraiser (held on November 7th, 2026) in support of the Washington Township Schools Foundation.

We are looking for people from every Washington Township School community who are passionate about making a positive impact on our schools, and willing to give their time and energy to help us make a difference.
