This week, Christian Theological Seminary marked an important milestone with the public launch of RISE UP: The Campaign for Human Flourishingโthe largest comprehensive campaign in CTSโs history, with a goal of $18 million.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters during the quiet phase, RISE UP has already surpassed $14.8 millionโnearly 83% of its goal. This progress reflects a deep belief in CTS and in the difference this work can make.
RISE UP invests in people and communities through four priorities:
โข Faithful Leadership โ Preparing leaders to serve congregations and communities.
โข Equity & Justice โ Sustaining and deepening the Faith & Action Projectโs decade of work equipping faith and community leaders to address systemic injustice and advance long-term stability and economic mobility for individuals and families through collaborative, data-informed approaches.
โข Healing & Wholeness โ Expanding access to mental health care and preparing counselors to serve with skill and compassion through the CTS Counseling Center and School of Counseling.
โข Sustaining Generosity โ Building the philanthropic support that will sustain CTSโs mission and help meet emerging needs.
The launch began with a celebratory gathering and the announcement of the campaignโs public phase, followed by a thoughtful conversation with Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Jon Meacham, moderated by the Honorable Myra C. Selby.
CTS is grateful to the benefactors, trustees, Advancement team, and colleagues whose care and commitment brought RISE UP to this milestone. There is much to celebrateโand important work still ahead. The public launch invites more people to Rise Up With Us and help shape CTSโs future and build stronger communities.
