Reminder about ALA MIS & National website being down from June 22 - July 6. Make sure you pull any reports you think you may need before Monday.

Reminder that we will do our last membership report today before the website comes back up, since we will be closed tomorrow in observance of Juneteenth.

Please note that ALAMIS will be undergoing a substantial upgrade that will affect ALAMIS and the MyAuxiliary member portal. 🚧

Timeframe: ALAMIS and the member portal will be unavailable starting at noon ET June 22. ALAMIS is expected to be back up and running on July 6.

How will this upgrade impact members? During this time, membership processing, reports, or payment of dues will not be available. This means that if you call National Headquarters about your member record, we won’t be able to change anything because the system will be down for staff too.

Changes to the MyAuxiliary portal for our members will be minimal.

We’re sorry in advance for the downtime, but we know ALAMIS users will enjoy the new system — a new, more intuitive interface when they log in. 👍

Some things to do before ALA MIS goes down..

🟢 Process every 2026 membership you already have in hand, do not hold on to it, even if it’s just one.

🟢 Download your unpaid, former and expired lists and save them on your computer, or print them off.

🟢 Print off a new membership roster that is in alphabetical order by last name to make life easier for your 2027 dues.

After ALA MIS goes down for 2 weeks…

🟠 Send out “We Miss You” cards to those former and expired members. Invite them to your 4th of July celebrations at your post or your big 250th Birthday parties.

🟠 Help those unpaid members remember their why and how important their membership is.

🟠 Perhaps offer a drawing to everyone who renews their 2026 dues between now & July 6th (when ALA MIS comes back up) that one winner will win a free 2027 renewal as well. If your unit can afford to do more than one, do so.

🟠 If you don’t process dues thru ALA MIS, you can still send in your membership to Department, don’t hold on to it. We will process it as soon as the system is back up.

🔷 Membership sent into Department must arrive no later than Friday, July 17th so we can process it before the new Close of Books date of Sunday, July 19th.

Each year, Hoosier Girls State picks a service project to collect donations for. This year, we have selected Honor Flights of Indiana. We will be able to send many veterans to Washington DC to visit their monuments with these donations.

We will be collecting donations Sunday morning at check in, throughout the week and again on Honor Day. If you bring a check please make it payable to ALA Hoosier Girls State and put Honor Flight in the memo line.

Monday Membership Moment JUNE 8 2026

We found out today that ALA MIS will be down for an upgrade from June 22-July 6.
We realize this will affect our Close of Books and delegate count to Department Convention.

We will be pushing our Close of Books until July 19th, so you’ll have a few more weeks once ALA MIS is back up and running.

Membership awards will not all be passed out at Department Convention due to needing Close of Books numbers for many of them.

If your unit is on the cusp of getting an additional delegate for Dept Convention we can work that out on a case by case business. Just reach out to us if you have questions.

DO NOT hang on to any membership you may have. Get it processed as soon as possible. Whether you need to mail it in to DHQ or process it yourselves thru ALA MIS.

We know we will have a few growing pains with this upgrade, but we’re asking for patience and kindness while we’re all going thru it together.

Be on the lookout in your email for billing for the 2026 ALA MIS User Fees for your unit and district. We didn't want you to think this is a spam email. This billing covers Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2026.

We do plan on doing the billing for 2027 in November of this year, so we don't want that to confuse you when you get it.

We are billed annually in February from National Headquarters, and no billing went out last year, so we are trying to find a better system this year. This will give units a chance to make necessary changes if they want to, before we get billed for them.

Thank you to everyone who already paid their fee for the 2026 year, we appreciate it!! Thank you for your patience with us while we get everything caught up in the office!
