The mission of ICASE is to serve, support and represent special education administrators in Indiana in order to provide high impact learning opportunities.

Over the past three days, Collective Courage came to life through meaningful conversations, shared learning, and time spent together as a community. From roundtables and breakout sessions to important compliance updates, we’re grateful to everyone who shared their knowledge and experiences throughout the conference.

A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Chris Singleton, for sharing his powerful message, “Love Is Stronger,” and reminding us of the impact courage, empathy, and connection can have in our schools and communities.

We were also proud to recognize Pam Bell and Dr. Steve Wornhoff, recipients of the Cheryl Harshman Distinguished Service Award, honoring their outstanding service and dedication to special education.

Thank you to our speakers, attendees, partners, and everyone who helped make this year’s Fall Conference so meaningful. We hope you leave feeling connected, encouraged, and ready to bring Collective Courage back to your schools!

That’s a wrap on Day One of the ICASE Fall Conference, Collective Courage! 💫

We began with a pre-conference Coffee Bean Workshop led by Jenna Shoefstall before coming together for a great afternoon of learning and connection.

Attendees had the opportunity to dive into breakout sessions, hear important compliance and legal updates, and explore strategies for courageous leadership and collaboration in special education.

A great start to our conference—and there’s plenty more to come tomorrow!

Our partners at Parallel are hosting The Special Education Case Files Series, a FREE three-part virtual workshop focused on proactive compliance planning and navigating the complex decisions special education leaders face every day.
