Something special is coming back to Indy 💛

Sensory in Indy returns this April for its second year.

This initiative is all about highlighting sensory-friendly spaces and reimagining what true inclusion can look like across our community. From quieter experiences to adaptive events and thoughtful environments, we’re celebrating the businesses and organizations working to make Indy more welcoming for autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals and their families.

But this year, we’re inviting you to be part of it.

Hearing words like these reminds us exactly why we do this. Neurodiversity Connection was created to be more than just a resource—it’s a space for connection, understanding, and growth for neurodivergent individuals and their families.

Our mission is to build inclusive pathways to support, learning, and community by centering neurodivergent voices, promoting acceptance, and filling the gaps often left by traditional systems. Whether it’s through our mama meetups, summer playdates, upcoming podcast, or community events, we’re here to celebrate neurodiversity and walk alongside families on every step of the journey.

Thank You for Making the First-Ever Sensory in Indy a Success!

We’re filled with gratitude after an incredible month celebrating sensory-friendly spaces, neurodivergent joy, and community connection across Central Indiana. Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared our mission, and made the Sensory in Indy celebration party—and every event throughout April—so special.

This was our very first year launching Sensory in Indy, and thanks to your support, it won’t be the last. We’re already dreaming bigger for next year and can’t wait to see this event grow stronger, wider, and even more impactful with each season.

From our amazing partner venues and vendors to the families and advocates who showed up with heart, this wouldn’t have been possible without you. Your involvement helped shine a light on inclusion, accessibility, and the importance of creating spaces where everyone can thrive.

Join us for an evening with Julie Walker, M.A., CCC-SLP of Positive Interactions Therapy — a speech therapist with 28 years of experience who specializes in supporting gestalt language processors and autistic kids through play-based, child-led therapy. She’ll be sharing helpful insights into how many neurodivergent children develop language, followed by a casual Q&A.

We'll have good conversation and a welcoming space to connect with other caregivers who truly get it. 💛
