Background:
The Oconus Cup is a friendly team match play competition between VGA members held every 4 years outside the continental United States that tests your skills, builds camaraderie, and rewards both individual performance and team spirit. There are two teams, Team Blue (20 players) and Team Black (20 players) selected individually by VGA staff to ensure match play handicaps are fairly distributed.

November 30th - December 6th, 2026
Resort: 6 Nights Lodging at Wyndham Grande Riomar in Puerto Rico.

Dec 1 Tuesday: Golf, Open
Dec 2 Wednesday: Golf, Dinner 2
Dec 3 Thurs: Golf, Open
Dec 4 Friday: Golf, Dinner 3
Dec 5 Saturday: Open, Dinner 4
Dec 6 Sunday: Depart

4 Rounds of Golf:
Dec 1: Grande Riomar River Course
Dec 2: Grande Riomar Ocean Course
Dec 3: Bahia Course
Dec 4: Hyatt Reserve (Puerto Rico Open)
Max HCP: 20 for men and 24 for women

4 Scheduled Dinners:
All meals start @ 7pm
Dinner 1: Mon Nov 30: Wyndham Grande Riomar (Iguanas)
Dinner 2: Wed Dec 2: Lolita’s Mexican Food
Dinner 3: Fri Dec 4: Latin Burger (live music)
Dinner 4: Sat Dec 5: Sama (Cocktail Attire)

All guests are responsible to pay for their own meals & drinks even if pre-scheduled. All guests are required to attend all pre-scheduled meals.

Highly suggest rental cars &/or rental car pooling. For local driver, contact +1 (787) 500-6922. Can offer tours & transportation anywhere on island.

*Airfare not included. Passports are not required for travel; However, make sure your state license is updated to Real ID or they will require a second form of ID: ie. military ID or Passport.

VGA Indiana welcomed VGA Kentucky and VGA Hawaii to the acclaimed Bear Slide GC in Cicero on Sunday, October 11th. We also welcomed Michael McCoy to his first VGA event. We also welcomed our guest player, Htaw Htoo. Bear Slide challenged the players skill on every hole and in the end, we slayed the Bear! The course was in great shape and after a cloudy start, we finished in the warm sunshine.
