🐾 Meet ESD K9 Niko.
During National Police Week, we’re honored to highlight K9 teams making an impact in the fight against child exploitation. Niko has helped uncover critical evidence in some of the hardest cases law enforcement faces.

His impact so far:
• 430 deployments
• 8 child rescues
• 8 hidden camera finds

His handler, Deputy Fleming, shared: “Because of the incredible training Niko received from Jordan Detection at the Hope Center in Indy, Niko has changed the game in the fight against child exploitation. Both here in NH and across the country.”

We’re grateful for K9 Niko and every officer working tirelessly to protect vulnerable children. 💙

🐾 Meet ESD K9 Delila and Detective Melinda Kimkowski with the Miramar Police Department! On National Police Week, we want to highlight their efforts in the fight against s*x trafficking and s*xual exploitation.

Detective Kimkowski shared, "It was such a privilege being able to train at the Hope Center. Training there allowed me and K9 Delila to practice searching in a variety of areas, overcome so many new challenges and obstacles, and prepare for the real-life searches we do today."

In honor of National Police Week, we’re proud to recognize a few of the handlers and ESD K9s who have trained at Hope Center Indy.

Our first spotlight is K9 Trigger and Detective Cassie Barainca with the Elko Police Department in Elko, Nevada. Since November, K9 Trigger has executed three search warrants where he located devices that were crucial to a suspect's arrest and prosecution. Detective Barainca also shared that he offers calming support on scene to children who have been exposed to exploitation.
