👀 Take Action Tuesday
1 in 5 young people experience a mental health challenge each year, but many go unnoticed, unsupported, or misunderstood.
Mental health struggles in youth don’t always look the way we expect. They can show up as irritability instead of sadness, withdrawal instead of quietness, or changes in sleep, appetite, or school performance.
The earlier we notice, the earlier we can support.
Take Action Today:
Spend a few minutes learning the signs of common mental health challenges like anxiety and depression in young people. Look for patterns, not just one bad day.
Some signs to pay attention to:
• Sudden mood changes or increased irritability
• Withdrawing from friends, family, or activities
• Changes in sleep or eating habits
• Difficulty concentrating or drop in school performance
• Expressions of hopelessness or feeling overwhelmed
You don’t have to be an expert to make a difference - just someone who notices, listens, and cares.
