Sullivan County was promised jobs and economic opportunity — not a construction site filled with out-of-state workers. If data center developers want the support of Indiana communities, they need to invest in Indiana workers and contractors. Local labor built these communities and should be first in line to build their future.

It’s National Apprenticeship Week! Indiana’s Building Trades Unions proudly jointly administer 62 training centers across the state, delivering world-class instruction and hands-on experience to over 13,000 Hoosiers. Collectively, over 65% of all registered apprentices in Indiana are trained in one of our Union training facilities.

These US-DOL registered apprenticeship training programs aren’t just about jobs — they’re about careers that support families, strengthen communities, and build the infrastructure that keeps our state moving forward.
