Indiana Refugee Network

Indiana Refugee Network Indiana Refugee Network (IRN) is a not for profit started to help the families of immigrant and refugee students in the Indianapolis area.

Chris and Traci Vermilion are school teachers in Indianapolis, Indiana that have seen the needs of refugee students and their families firsthand. While providing services to many students, they became friends with many refugee families. Indiana Refugee Network was founded because they realized the need was too great and they couldn't do it alone. The purpose of Indiana Refugee Network is to give r

efugee families the resources and education they need to build a successful life in America. This can mean providing friendship, advocacy, transportation, clothing, and household items amongst other services. Our goal is to connect refugee families with a network of volunteers to provide services in the areas of English acquisition and education, medical services, financial literacy, and self sufficiency. When equipped to do so, the network also strives to provide emergency goods and services to help refugee families survive a short term crises.
