Congo Helping Hands

Congo Helping Hands Congo Helping Hands specializes in Lorentz Solar Powered Water Systems for rural health care facilities.

And we address the effects of extreme poverty in rural Congo. Thousands of children and women die each year from preventable and waterborne diseases.

Our next site will be true Lorentz SPWS. We will install Lorentz pumps, power controller, panel connectors, disconnects, monitoring systems, and of course, SmartTaps.

Our first four water sites were easy to convert. We just added the Lorentz SmartTaps to an existing Solar Powered Water System (SPWS).

Lorentz SPWS are fully capable of remote monitoring and controlling every liter of water from the pump in the borehole to the customer.

🚨 Important Update from Congo Helping Hands 🇨🇩

As we continue our mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), recent developments highlight critical challenges affecting the communities we serve.

The ongoing mineral crisis in eastern DRC reminds us why our work is so vital. While the world's demand for minerals like coltan (used in our phones and electric cars) grows, local communities bear the devastating cost:

👥 Communities are caught in the crossfire of resource-driven conflicts
🏥 Hospitals in Goma face armed intrusions
🔄 International agreements continue to prioritize mineral access over human rights
🤝 Local civil society members and human rights defenders face threats and violence

At Congo Helping Hands, we witness firsthand how these complex international dynamics affect the daily lives of Congolese people. While global powers negotiate mineral deals, real people - our partners, friends, and the communities we serve - face the consequences.

We remain committed to our mission of supporting Congolese communities through these challenges. Your support helps us continue this crucial work.

🙏 Want to help? Pray for peace in eastern Congo.
