“Still Loud. Still Here.”
— An Evening with Sandra Gay
A Super Shootout, Inc. & Actors Ink Theatre Company Partnership - June 19-21
Super Shootout, Inc. (SSI), a longtime Indianapolis-based 501(c)(3) public charity, has evolved from a respected youth sports and scholarship organization into a broader intergenerational initiative using sports, entertainment, and the arts to strengthen community, elevate opportunity, and inspire lifelong growth.
Founded in the early 1990s, SSI originally created the Super Shootout City-County All-Star Games and college exposure opportunities that helped underserved Marion County student-athletes access higher education through athletics. Over two decades, more than 1,000 student-athletes participated in SSI programming, with approximately 100 scholarships earned across NCAA and junior college programs.
Today, SSI is building on that legacy through innovative intergenerational programming that bridges youth, adults, and seniors through shared creative, educational, and community-centered experiences. The organization’s current mission is to “enrich lives across generations through sports, entertainment and the arts” while cultivating leadership, preserving legacy, and creating opportunities for lifelong engagement.
One of SSI’s most meaningful new partnerships is its collaboration with Actors Ink Theatre Company and legendary Indianapolis artist, educator, and cultural leader Sandra Gay. Through this partnership, SSI is supporting and helping present Still Loud. Still Here., a one-woman theatrical production and fundraiser scheduled for June 19–21, 2026 at the Phoenix Theatre Cultural Centre in Indianapolis.
The production is much more than a performance. It is a deeply personal and culturally significant theatrical event rooted in resilience, aging, creativity, and community healing. The show chronicles Sandra Gay’s journey as one of Indianapolis’ pioneering Black theatre artists and her remarkable recovery after surviving an early and life-threatening case of COVID-19, during which she spent eighteen days on a ventilator.
Come and enjoy her music!
