Dear Indianapolis Community,
During the pandemic, Barter School Indy shifted to live Zoom meetings and pre-recorded classes to keep up with class offerings. Following 3 semesters of declining class submissions and attendance, we decided to take a semester off to focus on identifying the right way and time to bring BSI back to the community.
During that time, many of our volunteer organizers chose to move on to other opportunities. We appreciate all the time our rotating volunteers donate to making Barter School Indy a success and are so glad to see our BSI friends helping other community programming, growing their families, pursuing education, and making other life changes. Also during this time, we parted ways from our in-person location and our website. For now, BSI will be shuttering with the hope to restart at a better time.
Should there be a surge of volunteers, we would be delighted to keep BSI running as it has for the last ~9 years.
