Thanks again to the Buckingham Foundation for their partnership with NEAR in May to help clean up public spaces along 10th street and to clear away brush and add some colorful images to a vacant house in the neighborhood. We appreciate their partnership and support!

Recently NEAR was able to work with the Buckingham Foundation for a day of service to clean up the 10th Street raingardens, add flowers to planters, and remove brush around a vacant house and paint decorative images on the boards use to secure it before it is eventually rehabbed. We appreciate their team for volunteering their time to help us with these beautification efforts. Thanks to Health by Design and Gretchen Zortman for letting us borrow safety gear, and to Kheprw Institute and Hall Associates for letting us borrow tools to equip our volunteers. Additional thanks to Barnes Brothers LLC for helping with some heavy duty stump removal and B***r Neighborhood Centers for hosting us as we started the day.
