Dear valued members and friends of Cyberia,
It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that our beloved makerspace will be closing its doors in the near future. We have recently been informed of another 50% increase in rent costs, which has made it financially impossible for us to continue operations at our current location.
We will be maintaining operations throughout the month of February, and during that time, we will hold a silent auction of the tools and hardware that make our makerspace so special. This will provide members with the opportunity to purchase items. The large tools will be donated to other spaces as we arrange homes for them.
Despite our best efforts, we will need to shut down operations on March 1st. We understand that this news will come as a disappointment to many of you, and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience and sadness this will cause.
We want to thank all of our members for their support, dedication, and contributions to our makerspace community over the years. We have been privileged to witness the amazing projects, innovations, and friendships that have come out of the space, and we are forever grateful to have been a part of it.
We will be providing more information about the auction, as well as resources for finding new makerspaces in the coming weeks. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
