These sweet girls wore and passed out handmade Abigail bracelets on their recent trip to Kamp @ Kanakuk…despite never meeting Abigail they vowed to be spirited themselves and spread her story to other Kampers too! Nearly 400 care kits created with love and kindness during Weekday Ministry’s Abs Angels Outreach were delivered to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital today! The staff there was beyond thrilled and stated they would be able to touch many kids in their care! Such a blessing to continue to Shine Abigail’s Light in such a meaningful way! This past weekend, we returned to Kanakuk for the 4th of July and the 2nd anniversary of Abigail’s passing. Being back in the place she loved, with her Kamp family was both heartbreaking and healing.
We stood by her memorial tree in awe of the story of the butterfly addition, shared stories, laughed through tears, and remembered her snorty laugh, her grit, her gentle strength, and the way she poured so much love into others. Her spirit was felt in every hug, every prayer, every quiet moment.
It was also a time to honor and hold close those who were with her that day—many of whom are still walking through their own healing. Their courage, faith, and love for each other and Ab are nothing short of sacred, and we’re grateful to walk beside them.
There was golf, fireworks, card games, putt putt, boat rides, surfing, euchre, cookouts, wiffle ball, homemade ice cream, and more—but above all, there was love. This team shares a bond that time can’t break, and we’re so thankful to be a part of it.
We miss you every day, Ab. 🧡🙏🏻
