In all things, we pray for peace. There has never been an Indy Juneteenth Parade without DeAndra. She has performed at our pageants, parade, and festival.
As we continue to strive for peace across Indiana, Indy Juneteenth will be dedicating the 2026 Indy Juneteenth Parade to DeAndra Clay-Staples, or as her family and loved ones called her, “MooMoo.”
We thank her family for sharing her with us, and we will continue to pray as they fight for justice.

DeAndra was a shining light, full of energy and talent, gone entirely too soon.
Let our parade and this dedication be a symbol of peace across the city of Indianapolis.

Join us and the as we not only celebrate Juneteenth with our parade, but also shine a light for peace.
