WE STAND WITH OUR COMMUNITY

InTouch Outreach Resource Center recognizes the fear and uncertainty many families are experiencing right now. No one should feel forgotten, isolated, or afraid to seek help during a difficult time.

To our Latino, Haitian, immigrant, and other families who may feel especially vulnerable: ITOR stands with you. Your safety matters. Your family matters. Your voice matters.

Our team remains committed to providing peer support, mental wellness services, harm-reduction resources, basic-needs assistance, referrals, and trusted community connections. We are coordinating with local partners to help make resources accessible to individuals who may not feel safe traveling or leaving their homes.

ITOR will also review upcoming programs and events with the safety and comfort of our participants in mind. We want every person entering an ITOR space to feel welcomed, respected, and supported.

During uncertain times, community care becomes even more important. We encourage neighbors to check on one another, share reliable information, and lead with compassion. If you need help—or know someone who does—please contact us.

We may not have every answer, but we will listen, respond, and help connect you with people and resources that care.

Community Storm & Flood Assistance Resources

If you or someone you know has been affected, you do not have to navigate recovery alone.

Call 211 or 866-211-9966
Indiana 211 can help connect you with local resources for:
Emergency housing or shelter
Food assistance
Utility assistance
Transportation
Mental health support
Other basic needs
If your home or property was damaged, you can also report storm damage through Indiana 211.

Housing & Disaster Recovery
The Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) is coordinating disaster recovery resources and maintaining an updated resource hub for the August 11, 2026 storm.

If your home was damaged, take photos and document the damage before beginning cleanup or making repairs when it is safe to do so.

Food Assistance
If you need food immediately, call 211 to locate food assistance near you.
You can also explore local food resources through Community Compass:

For SNAP recipients who lost food because of the disaster, contact Indiana FSSA/your local Division of Family Resources to ask about replacement SNAP benefits.

Resource availability, eligibility, hours, and assistance programs may change as recovery efforts continue. Please confirm details with the organization before traveling to a service location.

This weekend was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do 💛 @ InTouch OutReach ITOR CDC!

From facilitating Round 2 of our men’s wellness group, ‘The Arena’, to kicking off our Maternal Wellness group ‘Flourish’ 🌸, to pouring into our little ones during the reading 📚 circle hosted by Readers on the Rise, to connecting moms 🤰 to vital healthcare and resources for a healthy pregnancy!

😮‍💨😰wheeewww, ITOR was BUSY!!!

But every moment mattered and we would do it all over again (after a little nap 😴 😅)

A special highlight was honoring a dear friend and community partner, Sherry Jackson who turned 75 With A Purpose 🥳❤️ and chose to celebrate by uplifting ITOR as a community organization. What an incredible legacy of giving and impact.

We’re honored to serve, support, and stand in the gap for our community. The work continues, and we’re just getting started.
