Jameson Camp is pleased to announce the appointment of Marianne Van Winkle as Guest Services Director. Jameson, a nonprofit American Camp Association (ACA) accredited camp, has operated since 1928 in the Indianapolis community to provide amazing experiences that give young people a welcome, safe, and accepting space to discover their strengths, build friendships, and experience nature.
Ms. Van Winkle has served two different stints as House Director for Alpha Gamma Delta at UCLA and Purdue University. Her roles there included mentoring sorority members and managing all aspects of running the house and organization within the respective university settings. She has held several leadership positions in the academic and nonprofit worlds as well as well as technical roles in television and film.
Marianne earned a BA in Media Communications and a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry from Asbury University and Asbury Theological Seminary respectively.
Executive Director David Ramsey, states “We are thrilled to have someone with Marianne’s background and experience join our leadership team at Jameson. Her outgoing and positive personality, along with her excitement about the mission of the organization and her commitment to hospitality, will be a wonderful addition to the staff.”
About joining the Jameson team, Marianne says, “I am excited to join the organization and help grow Jameson’s impact in the Indianapolis community and beyond.”
Every year thousands of children come to Jameson Camp to explore nature, develop critical skills, and have fun with environmental science field trips. Additionally, the organization is available to schools, and nonprofit organizations in the community for meeting and event space, retreats, and teambuilding.
