Local 700 is also involved in many community projects. An example of community involvement is the money Local 700 raises each year that goes directly into research to find cures for Leukemia. Local 700 has raised more than $300,000.00 and has assisted the UFCW International Union in raising more than $15,000,000.00 for Leukemia research over the past several years.
