We are based in Bloomington, Indiana, a city about an hour's drive south from Indianapolis. The Quadrangles was founded in 2011, and we are excited to continue our team tradition. As a team that attracts many beginners, we are always seeking to improve as well as pass on our skills to new members. We're not squares. We're Quadrangles.

Our sister team FTC Team 11329 I.C.E. Robotics had a great ending to their summer! They love the Chicago Robotics Invitational, and this one did not disappoint! Six robots on the field and new twists to the field elements always makes this event exciting and a bit chaotic, and a great challenge to figure out the meta as you compete! They were definitely challenged, and glad to finish qualifications ranked first. Their alliance with Meta^Infinity, Hippobotamus, and Regenesis Project fought hard through the tournament, coming back from the lower bracket to win the event!

They are also very proud to have won the coveted “Golden Bean Award”, after coming in 2nd to Up-A-Creek’s iconic meta-busting clipbot last year.

Lastly, it is with a sad but grateful heart that we say goodbye to the seniors who competed in their last event as students at CRI. These seniors have been the backbone of ICE Robotics’ success and popularity the last few years. We will miss their amazing design, programming, driving, and videography skills and leadership as a new generation steps up to lead the team next season.

What a fantastic time our sister team FTC 11329 - I.C.E. Robotics had at the Michiana Premiere Event last weekend! They won 3rd Place Inspire in the Croft Division, and were able to pick Meta^Infinity and Random() as their alliance partners for the tournament. They are especially proud of achieving 6 ranking points in 8 of 10 qualification matches, proving that a spindexer can both sort and score quickly! Their alliance went on to win the Croft Division, and then win the Event vs the Jones Division Champion in the final round.

We are so grateful for the GEARS organization and all the volunteers from Indiana and around the world that made this world class event happen! And thank you to all the FTC teams that came all the way to Indiana to participate! I.C.E. Robotics is so proud to win this event back-to-back 💙💚

This weekend The Quadrangles competed at the Indiana State Championship! We shot and climbed well, worked through a couple ball jams and electrical issues, and ended qualifications ranked 13th. We were selected by Huntington County 4-H Robotics Team 1501 to be on the 5th alliance along with Hatchet Robotics team 8116. Our alliance also brought in Team 9491 Crypto Creek as a backup robot for one of our tournament matches. The 5th alliance fought hard and made it to the 10th match of the tournament.

The team spent a lot of time in the pits talking to judges, and were rewarded for the effort by winning the Excellence in Engineering Award! In addition, Jiping was named one of two FIRST Leadership Award Finalists (formerly Dean’s List) and will be competing at Worlds for the award.

And speaking of Worlds, we found out at the end of the Championship event that we qualified to compete at the FIRST World Championship in Houston next week! We are super excited to join our sister teams FTC 11329 I.C.E. Robotics and FLL 29312 Harvey Hawkbots in going to Worlds 2026!
