We’re just 6 days away from the 52nd annual Woodruff Place Flea Market! Although most will come for the trinkets, treats and treasures, let’s not forget the sheer beauty of the neighborhood and its historic homes.
One of the things that makes Woodruff Place so special is its incredible architectural diversity. Founded in 1872, the neighborhood grew over several decades, resulting in an eclectic collection of homes that span multiple architectural eras and styles.
Stroll down East, Middle, or West Drive and you’ll find grand Queen Anne Victorians, stately Colonial Revivals, charming Tudors, and other early 20th-century gems standing side by side. Each home tells its own story while contributing to the character and charm that have made Woodruff Place one of Indianapolis’ most beloved historic neighborhoods.
Beyond the stunning exteriors, many of these homes still preserve original craftsmanship—ornate fireplaces, stained glass windows, pocket doors, built-ins, and woodwork that simply can’t be replicated today.
It’s this blend of history, beauty, and individuality that continues to make Woodruff Place such a remarkable community to call home. ❤️
