Brick Street Poetry is pleased to welcome US Poet Laureate Arthur Sze to the Hoosier state to share public readings of his work at DePauw University and Butler University during the first full week of October. His award-winning poetry is stunning, and his dedication to craft is strong. Respected for his translations of China's ancient poets, he brings timeless verses to life for those of us alive today. Don't miss his readings!

Another Hoosier winner! When I first became the Poet Laureate of Indiana, one of the first things I did after talking with the head of the NEA Dana Gioia, was to get Indiana into the Poetry Out Loud program. Congratulations to Jayda Dawn, the 2nd winner from Indiana. Hoosier students are making us proud with their performances in this highly competitive process. I couldn't be prouder of how they've responded. Poetry in Indiana has a bright future. Joyce Brinkman, Indiana Poet Laureate 2002-2008
