Tri Kappa- State (Official)

Tri Kappa- State (Official) Tri Kappa is a 501(c)(3) organization located in Indiana. The second chapter was established in New Harmony, Indiana within days by Erma Ribeyre Greathouse.

Kappa Kappa Kappa was founded in 1901 by seven young ladies attending the Girls' Classical School founded by May Wright Sewell in Indianapolis. To ensure that Tri Kappa would continue beyond their school days, each member was to start a chapter in her hometown. The first chapter was established by Beryl Showers Holland and Bertha Matthew Showers in Bloomington, Indiana. No one of that small group

would have believed that Tri Kappa would become a thriving organization composed of Active and Associate chapters across Indiana. Tri Kappa was later incorporated and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. To our knowledge, it is the only greek letter organization limited by the boundaries of one state.

By bringing music, visual arts, dance, and live performances into the hospital, we foster moments of joy, connection, and creativity for children, families, and team members, nurturing the spirit and celebrating resilience.
