Today, April 21st, from 2pm-3pm the Ivy Tech Indianapolis campus library and Word As Bond will be hosting award-winning poet Ross Gay as the featured speaker for the annual Poetry Contest Celebration. This is a great opportunity to celebrate student writers AND hear from the New York Times bestselling author. This afternoon Word As Bond came thisclose to being finalists at Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam. We missed a chance to compete in the finals by just a fraction of a point BUT
tonight on the final stage at BNV we will open the show with a calibration poet, an honor reserved for runners up to the Grand Slam Finalist. We’d be honored if you’d watch!
