We’re excited to celebrate our 2026 graduating scholars the entire month of June!🎓
Today, we celebrate Errionna P.!🎉
Errionna’s journey with CAFE began in 2019 through our Teen Employment Program, where she quickly distinguished herself through her commitment to service, leadership, and academic excellence. Through the support of our Pathways to College grant through IAAQLI, we were able to engage her in HBCU opportunities that helped shape her college exploration and decision-making process.
As a Teen Employment Camp participant, she completed more than 300 hours of service with our healthcare partner, Trilogy Health Services, working directly with older adults and gaining valuable hands-on experience that helped further shape her passion for healthcare.
After graduating from Warren Central High School in 2021, Errionna continued her educational journey at Xavier University in New Orleans before transferring to Kentucky State University. While at KSU, she excelled as a Biology major on a pre-professional track, balancing rigorous coursework with research opportunities, employment, campus involvement, and community service. She was nominated into the National Society of Leadership and Success, recognizing her leadership and academic dedication. ✨
She became a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc®. through the Beta Zeta Chapter, further demonstrating her commitment to scholarship, leadership, and service. Despite attending college out of state, Errionna never lost touch with her roots. During school breaks, she regularly returned home to Indianapolis to volunteer with CAFE, supporting community events like the Far Eastside Festival. She also gave back by serving as a speaker on two of our HBCU and College 101 panels, where she educated and encouraged high school students to pursue post-secondary education opportunities and explore HBCUs.
Errionna participated in the Eskenazi HBCU Internship Program, gaining valuable experience with Eskenazi Health. Today, we are proud to share that Errionna has graduated from Kentucky State University and has accepted a position as a Clinical Research Technician with the IU School of Medicine.
Looking ahead, Errionna plans to continue her educational journey by attending medical school as she pursues her lifelong goal of becoming a physician. 👩🏾🔬
From teen participant to future physician, Errionna’s story is a powerful example of what happens when hard work, purpose, and service come together. Congratulations, Errionna! 👏🏾
