The Indianapolis Urban League in partnership with Armed Services Arts Partnership - ASAP Indiana is excited to present a new Veterans Services Program Workshop Series tomorrow at 12:00 pm.

This unique workshop uses comedy activities to help participants craft concise, compelling, and memorable speaking engagements. Humor is used strategically to reduce anxiety, encourage authenticity, and make value propositions more engaging, while remaining professional. Jeff McKinney, Ph.D, is an experienced coach, teacher, and a mentor who strives to ensure his coaching/training provides tools to take the necessary action to change for the better.

Our monthly Veterans Services Program assists veterans and those who served in the military with the tools and support needed to transition back into civilian life. For more information contact (317) 693-7603.

On June 9, the Indianapolis Urban League provided nutritious meals, pantry staples, and essential items to families across Central Indiana.

Volunteers from companies and individuals from across the city came together to push back against food insecurity at our Monthly Food Distribution. More than 23,000 pounds of food and 500 meals were distributed!

This month, we were especially grateful to welcome families from The Exchange at the Indianapolis Urban League, our young professionals organization, who chose to spend their day serving alongside us. As an agency, we're committed to educating and building the next generation of community leaders. Having our young people volunteer reminds us that preparing the next generation of community leaders starts with giving them space to serve, learn, and see the impact of their efforts firsthand. We are thankful for their service!

Tuesday was another reminder of the impact we can make together as a community, and we are not slowing down anytime soon!
