Labor Day honors the contributions, achievements, and sacrifices of the American working class, marking the struggle of workers who fought for basic human rights, fair wages, safe workplaces, and reasonable hours.

Today, as a fair-wage employer, the Indianapolis Urban League joins in celebrating hard-won wins such as 8-hour workdays, weekends off, the 40-hour workweek, and a commitment to fair wages.

We are closed on Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day.

On Tuesday, September 8th, we will host our monthly Food Distribution, where we serve residents in our community experiencing food insecurity or who require hunger relief. Hours: 10 a.m. to 12:30 pm. No ID needed; drive-thru or walk-in.

School is back in session! Protect your family this fall. Join the Indianapolis Urban League and Indiana Immunization Coalition for a Community Vaccination Clinic on Wednesdays, starting September 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 777 Indiana Avenue.

👉🏿Providing recommended vaccines for CHILDREN AND ADULTS
👉🏿Walk-ins welcome
👉🏿Parent/guardian consent required for individuals under age 18
👉🏿Please bring immunization records and insurance card, if available
👉🏿The Indiana Immunization Coalition Accepts and bills most insurance plans, including commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid
👉🏿No cost for uninsured individuals, except for the Shingles and adult RSV vaccines

This hands-on session is designed to make artificial intelligence easy to understand and approachable for everyone. In this workshop, you'll learn how A.I. already shows up in daily life, how to engage with it responsibly, and how to build confidence using new tools without fear.
