ANNOUNCEMENT

The Speakeasy Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to wind down following a raise in rent. The Speakeasy business model is unable to sustain the substantial increase while honoring its nonprofit mission and commitment to be accessible to all by lowering barriers to entrepreneurship.

This decision was not made in haste. Speakeasy leadership relentlessly pursued every lead and partnership possible to continue the legacy of collaboration and innovation through low-cost coworking and entrepreneurial programming. Ultimately, the board realized that while The Speakeasy made massive contributions to the foundation of today's thriving entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem, it must pass the baton to the next generation of disruptors, entrepreneurial support organizations, and coworking spaces.

On November 12 from 5 PM to 7 PM, The Speakeasy is "putting the band back together" for a "Last Call to Rock!" celebration. There will be food, drink, and the opportunity to own a piece of The Speakeasy. Most importantly, we are excited for the opportunity to connect and share what this community has meant to us all.

COWORKING: Located in Indianapolis, Indiana, we opened our doors in February 2012 as the first collaborative workspace serving entrepreneurs in the Central Indiana community. Our founders believed in providing a place for education, conversation and manufactured serendipity. We believe entrepreneurship isn’t limited to a single mold; it’s how an individual interacts with their work and drives change through their product. Our members come from a range of industries representing established business with entrepreneurial roots, and new and innovative startups, alike.

EVENTS: The Speak Easy also offers event space for weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, etc. We offer a carefully curated space that’s intended to be cool, pragmatic, and inviting for up to 180 people. Not a hotel banquet hall or barn but a soaring-ceiling, industrial warehouse with endless possibilities. We work with members and nonmembers alike and host everything from wedding receptions to corporate seminars, product launches and fundraisers.
