The 19th Annual McCormick-Baylor Memorial Motorcycle Ride for TIPAC brought together friends from across the trucking industry for a memorable day on the road. Riders gathered at Hoosier Air Transport, Inc. before setting out on the ride, with a stop at the Story Inn to enjoy lunch and spend time together.

The annual ride honors Jim and Mac McCormick and Bob Baylor, whose lasting contributions to the trucking industry and their communities continue to inspire us. It’s a meaningful way to remember their legacy while supporting TIPAC and bringing our industry together.

Thank you to everyone who rode, volunteered, sponsored the event or helped make the day possible. We’re grateful for your support and look forward to riding together again next year.

Last week, IMTA members and industry partners gathered in Louisville for the 93rd Annual IMTA Convention!

Over three days, attendees heard from industry experts on the issues shaping trucking today, including regulatory updates, workforce development, economic trends, insurance, advocacy, technology, and the future of our industry. These sessions provided valuable information and practical insights that our members can take back to their companies.

Beyond the educational sessions, the convention created opportunities for members to exchange ideas, strengthen existing relationships, and make new connections with trucking professionals from across Indiana and beyond.

Attendees also had the opportunity to experience Louisville through golf, Bourbon & Bats, and several memorable networking events. One of the highlights of the week was our Great Gatsby-themed Past Chairmen’s Reception and Dinner, where we celebrated the leaders who have helped shape IMTA while looking ahead to the future of the Association.

An event of this size would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, speakers, exhibitors, volunteers, and members. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, expertise, and energy to this year’s convention. Your involvement is what makes the IMTA community so special.

We are proud of everything we accomplished together in Louisville and look forward to carrying that momentum into another great year for Indiana’s trucking industry.

We captured so many great moments throughout the convention that it was difficult to choose just a few! Stay tuned as we share more photos and highlights from the week.

Please join us in welcoming TrueMile one of IMTA’s newest Allied Members!

TrueMile is a Y-Combinator backed company that builds AI agents to run day-to-day operations for mid-size carriers. They handle the week's chaos—planning, dispatching drivers, replanning when things change, and sourcing backhauls—while keeping drivers and brokers updated at all times. It plugs into the TMS you already run, so there's nothing to rip out or replace. We're built for carriers running 50 to 500 trucks and would love to connect with any IMTA members who want a leaner operation.

We are excited to welcome TrueMile to the IMTA community and look forward to having their team involved in the association!

This week, IMTA visited the Terre Haute scale house alongside Great West Casualty Company and FMCSA to pass out appreciation bags and personally thank the professional drivers who keep our communities and economy moving.

Truck drivers spend long days away from home, navigate demanding schedules, and take on tremendous responsibility every time they get behind the wheel. During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we are proud to recognize their hard work, professionalism, and commitment to safety.

Thank you to every professional driver for all you do, this week and every week!

The best part of IMTA is the people who make up our community.

Our events bring together professionals from across Indiana’s trucking industry to learn, exchange ideas and build relationships. They also give us the chance to catch up with familiar faces, welcome new members and enjoy spending time together outside of the day-to-day work.

We are grateful for everyone who shows up, gets involved and helps make IMTA a strong and connected community!

Spotted outside the IMTA office Laura Kopetsky Tri-Ax, Inc.! 🚛

We always enjoy seeing one of our members out on the road, especially when they bring a great-looking truck with them. We had to snap a photo before it headed back out on the road!

It is always great to connect with our members and see the trucks helping keep Indiana moving every day.

Artificial intelligence is quickly becoming part of the transportation and logistics industry, but what does that actually mean for trucking companies?

John McDonald, President and CEO of the Northeast Indiana Innovation Community, will present “Transportation and Logistics Meet AI” at the 2026 IMTA Annual Convention.

John will explore practical uses for AI in routing, maintenance, compliance, workforce management and operational efficiency. He will also discuss its limitations and the common mistakes companies should avoid.
