As the holidays approach, we took a moment to pause and remember the pieces of our hearts that live amongst the stars. ✨

We’re so thankful for this community and the love that is shared.

Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day and today we remember it all.

We remember the excitement the first time we saw those two pink lines.
We remember hearing your heartbeat at your first ultrasound.
We remember carefully picking out your nursery decor.
We remember feeling you move and your little hiccups.
We remember your perfect nose and your ten tiny toes.

We remember the words that followed when the doctor said, "I'm so sorry..."
We remember the silence of the hospital room.
We remember handing your little body, swaddled so carefully, to the nurse for the last time.
We remember leaving the hospital with empty arms and a missing piece of our family.

We remember you.

These photos were lovingly shared by moms in our mom's group, One Sip at a Time. If you, or someone you love, has experienced the loss of your beautiful baby, we invite you to connect with us. Our hearts and arms are open and ready to provide you with community and resources.

With Love,
The Scotty Michael Foundation

Michael's Story, lovingly shared by his mom.

"With my son, Michael, I had a perfect pregnancy for 34 weeks. Then, I woke up one morning and didn't feel him moving like he usually did. We went to the hospital and I still had hope that everything was fine. Then, they performed an ultrasound and I heard those dreaded words: "I'm so sorry, there's no heartbeat".

When he was born, I couldn't believe how perfect he was. I had been dreaming of what his eye color would be, but I never got to see him open his eyes. The image of the nurse carrying his little body away for the last time will stick with me forever.

My son sends me little signs that his spirit is still with me. I know he is watching over me, but I so wish I could be the one watching over him. I am grateful for the short time I had with my little angel, and I know I will miss him forever."

-Dempsey, Michael's Mom 💙

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month & Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day is October 15th.

This month we've invited women to share their stories and experiences surrounding the loss of the sweetest lives. We will share and honor their stories here.

If you would like to share your story, we invite you to do so. If you need resources, local events to participate in, or community of other moms & dads, we invite you to reach out. We're here and ready to support you.

*We also recognize everyone is at a different place in their grief journey. Stories and photos may be triggering. Please mute/unfollow to protect your heart and peace as needed.

Please join us in honoring our babies born in July - Charlotte and Easton.

While August is a busy and exciting time of year for most, we hold space for Charlotte and Easton's mommies, daddies, and loved ones. In these times we're reminded how much joy and grief can truly coexist.

One of the most special parts from our scramble are seeing the carts lined up, each with a sweet baby’s name lovingly placed. Each cart has a story and each baby’s name is honored. 🤍

If you would like your baby’s name to be recognized, please comment or message us. We would be more than honored!

If you would still like to play or support our mission, there’s still spots available! You are the change makers for this corner of the world where we hold our bereaved families so close.
