For 25 years, Tonic Ball has brought local musicians to the stage to raise money and awareness for Second Helpings, a Central Indiana nonprofit fighting hunger from all angles.

To celebrate this year's milestone, the 25th anniversary of Tonic Ball will feature hundreds of local musicians across five stages, showcasing all 60 artists Tonic Ball has honored since 2002—from the Beatles, Prince, and Dolly Parton to Beyoncé, OutKast, Taylor Swift, Green Day, and dozens more.

Funds raised through Tonic Ball allow Second Helpings to provide more than one million free meals to more than 100 Central Indiana nonprofits each year.

Last month, Child Care Answers launched its new strategic plan, "Rise Forward," marking a new chapter for the organization following state funding changes that led to the sunset of its longtime child care resource and referral contract.

Central to CCA’s new strategic direction is the expansion of hands-on support for child care professionals beyond Marion County. Child care resource specialists in Hamilton, Hendricks, Boone, and Shelby counties will serve as trusted connectors for child care professionals, family-facing organizations, employers, and community partners, helping local programs navigate resources and strengthen operations.

“This past year has tested us in ways we never anticipated, but it has also shown us what’s possible when a community rallies around a cause it believes in,” said Mollie Smith, CCA’s executive director. “Our new strategic plan isn’t just about adapting to change; it’s about building an organization that is more responsive, more collaborative, and more sustainable for child care programs and the families who depend on them.”
