A great start to the summer program at our Youth Center today! We’re thankful for the “Proclaim” group from Pensacola Christian College helping us kick things off with fun, encouragement and the love of Christ.

Please pray for an amazing summer as we minister to kids from our community and point them to Jesus!

At our Boys Home we work to train young men to know Christ and become “fishers of men.” Last week, during a trip to Wisconsin while on break between trimesters, the boys had the opportunity try their hand at being fishers of…fish!
The trip was filled with fun, fellowship and catches of huge fish along the way. We’re thankful for opportunities like this where the boys can build friendships, enjoy God’s creation and continue growing together spiritually.

Last week, the Boys Home was blessed to have our Spiritual Renewal Week with guest speaker Todd Monaghan. It is always a special week as the boys are challenged, encouraged and given opportunities to grow in their walk with Christ.
We are thankful for Todd’s faithful preaching, investment in our young men and heart for the Lord. Thank you, Todd, for another great week!

Graduation Friday at the Boys Home was a special one.

Dovie spent the last three years at the Boys Home and would be the first to admit he was once a “menace.” But Friday, he stood before the room as a graduate and shared words that touched everyone present.

“Good News Ministries is one of the best things that happened to me. They taught me that there is a God who loves me and will always forgive me no matter how far I walk away.”

What a reminder of the power of grace, structure, discipleship and second chances. We are proud of Dovie and thankful for everyone who helps make stories like his possible through your prayers and support.

Taj, a Good News Scholarship recipient and Boys Home graduate, is all smiles as today marks the last day of his first year at Pensacola Christian College , where he is working toward a degree in Youth Ministry.

This summer, Taj plans to spend time working at a Christian camp and, of course, return to the Boys Home for a few weeks to work and help earn his portion of tuition for his sophomore year.

We are proud of the young man Taj has become and thankful for everyone who helps make stories like his possible through your prayers, encouragement and support.
