Providing Hope to Homeless Neighbors, Underprivileged Youth, and the Medically Underserved

Look out, Putnam County! AJ at our Boys Home just got his driver's license!

We're proud of AJ for reaching this milestone! One of the things we love about the Boys Home is getting to help young men grow in their walk with God, learn responsibility and prepare for life beyond the Boys Home.

Congrats, AJ!!

We may not understand what God is doing in our lives right now, but we can trust that He is ALWAYS faithful. Whatever challenges you are facing this week, be encouraged that God knows your needs, hears your prayers and will give you the strength to keep going!

If you missed Youth Center Director Anthony at last night, he's back again this morning! Stop by and let him tell you about all the awesome opportunities available here at Good News Ministries.

As we begin our college recruiting trips, please pray that God will send forth the next generation of labourers for the work here at Good News.

Our holiday food barrels are going out, but we still have plenty looking for a home!

Help us pack the pantry this winter by hosting a barrel at your church, business, school or organization. We will serve about 20,000 meals between now and Christmas, giving each person a hot meal and an opportunity to hear about the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Leave a comment or reach out and we'll help get you set up!

Start this week by giving your plans, worries and decisions to the Lord and trusting Him with whatever may come next. Keep moving forward in faith because when your way is committed to Him, you can trust that He is already working.

What a great night of football, fellowship and fun! Our Youth Center and Boys Home young men took on Good News staff in a competitive game, with staff pulling out a 54–40 win.

A special thank you to Carter Folger for volunteering as referee and sharing an encouraging Bible message at halftime. We’re already looking forward to the annual Turkey Bowl coming up soon!

We may make our own plans, but God is the One who directs our steps. As you begin this week, trust Him even when the path ahead does not look exactly, or sometimes anything, like you expected.

As you begin a new week, remember that God is always faithful! Things may not always go the way we planned, but we can trust the He is in control and His promises never fail. Whatever this week brings, keep your eyes on the Lord and trust Him every step of the way.

A HUGE thank you to longtime friends and partners of Good News Ministries, Rusty and Danny Olnick!

They donated AND installed carpet in our conference room and newly designated Men’s Bible Study area. What a difference it made! We are so thankful for their continued friendship, generosity and willingness to serve!

Our August Youth Center Incentive Bash winners worked hard to earn 1,000 points throughout the month! They earned points by being faithful to the Youth Center, Bible study and church, memorizing Scripture, completing daily devotionals and attending tutorial.

They celebrated their hard work by getting creative with a graffiti-style art project hosted by our Men's Shelter Director DJ and his family! The kids had a blast putting their own creativity on display and making their own Good News masterpiece.
