In addition to bringing attention to all things local, the project promotes civic engagement and urban initiatives that contribute to sustainable and livable urban neighborhoods in Indianapolis. The Naptown Urban Crawl annual event will serve as a catalyst for people to get out and explore Indy's urban neighborhoods and Cultural Districts by walking and/or biking, using the Indianapolis Cultural T

rail as their path of travel. The event will be held in different Cultural District each year to showcase the unique characteristics and diversity of Indy's urban neighborhoods. The Naptown Urban Crawl will appeal to both residents and visitors alike, who are looking for a more modern and engaging cultural experience in Indianapolis. Our Sponsors/Partners for the event are businesses/organizations are doing their part to contribute to and improve the quality of life in urban Indianapolis. As part of the Naptown Urban Crawl, you will get a chance to learn about the great ideas and urban initiatives that are enhancing the quality of life in Indy's urban neighborhoods.

The Thomas Taggart Memorial in Indianapolis' Riverside Park must have been magnificent when it was dedicated in 1931: majestic columns and arches, a curved fountain in front, balustrades lining the monument to the Indianapolis mayor who had created the city’s park system 34 years earlier.

● 28.2 million: Number of tourists who visited Indianapolis in 2016, the most ever. It was the city’s sixth straight year with an increase in visitor spending.

● 34: Percent on average by which Chicago is more expensive than Indianapolis.

● $2.8 billion: Value of the investments that are in the works through 2022 in downtown Indianapolis.

● 64: Percent of downtown restaurants that are locally owned.

● 2020: Year that Bottleworks, a mixed-use development, is set to open in an art deco Coca-Cola factory. It’ll have a food hall, offices, and residential space, as well as the first-ever West Elm hotel.
