Psi Iota Xi

Psi Iota Xi is a women's philanthropic organization with chapters throughout the midwestern United States.

History--Psi Iota Xi was founded in 1897 in Muncie, Indiana and has chartered chapters in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Michigan. As of 2009, there are approximately 3500 members in 135 chapters. Purposes

Psi Iota Xi chapters are focused on rasing money and offering volunteer service to improve the quality of life in their communities, with special emphasis on speech and hearing-related causes.

Your National Council held their Sprong meeting this weekend. We toured the Grand Wayne Convention Center in downtown Fort Wayne. Theta Theta Sister's are working hard on National Convention.

This week, we were able to give representatives from the Psi Iota Xi National Council a tour of the Speech and Hearing Resource Center! Hear Indiana was presented with a check as part of their Long Term Project. The funds will go towards Hear Indiana scholarship opportunities for speech-language pathology or doctor of audiology grad students pursuing the study of Listening and Spoken Language. We are so grateful for the support of Psi Iota Xi and excited about the impact this will have on students. Thank you, Psi Iota Xi!
