Some volunteers put in an hour or two a month, others put in an hour or two a day. Everyone is welcomed to get involved at any level - the only pre-requisite is enthusiasm and a passion to stand in solidarity with people most affected by climate disasters and violent conflict.

This is the interfaith iftar we posted info about earlier in May. It was great to see the Jewish community sponsoring, hosting and presenting at this event to raise funds to help the Muslim Rohingya refugees.

Rabbi and Mrs Glickman’s stories from their visit and work in the camp were inspiring. I especially enjoyed the storytelling he did with the children emphasizing the Rohingys people have good hearts, good minds and strong muscles.

Five schools that were recently wiped out by floods were funded. Children and their families will be very happy when these are replaced.

Jewish, Christian and Muslim prayers were given before the evening dinner was served. The Jewish end of the week ceremony was musical. The Muslim call to prayer is also musical in nature.
