Lots of interest at the Indiana NOW table at No Kings rally. We were swamped with question from noon until 3 when it finally started thinning out. All those who stopped and inquired about the Indianapolis Chapter please reach out for any more questions. Hope to see you some upcoming meetings.

Julie Storbeck has advocated for women's rights and women's protections since her college years when she volunteered for Planned Parenthood, protecting patients from anti-choice violence. She joins us from the northwest corner of Indiana, where she helps people with disabilities live safely in their own homes, without fear of institutionalization. A woman with a disability, a seasoned grassroots activist and the President of Indiana National Organization for Women, Julie Storbeck knows all civil rights are connected.

From 12 -1 There will be the performers performing the National Anthem, The National Black Anthem, and a variety of songs from Ruby Leonne and your favorite blues band, Celtic Rain, and Monique Rust.

We encourage those with sensory issues to utilize this time on the lawn to onboard with the organizations in the lanes and alleys if you choose.

This International Women’s Day, we are going to remind the world what Brave Women do.

Women’s March calls for a national weekend of direct action from March 7-9. We are done waiting. We center survivors and take action against the systems that protect abusers and terrorize women, from Epstein’s violence to ICE’s.

Indianapolis NOW collected period products at our December chapter meeting. Donations were received from NOW members, IWC ( Indianapolis Council of Women) and Indy Nasty Women of Marion Co. Products were dropped off at Coburn Place (domestic violence shelter) this last week. Donations were much appreciated. Estimated value of $400. If Indiana was to join the other 23 states that do not tax period products, the money would have stretched even more to purchase more items. Please contact your state representatives and urge them to support a bill that would eliminate a tax on period products. Make 2026 the year a bill is finally passed.

The next Indy NOW Chapter meeting is tonight at 6:30 pm. We will be meeting at the restaurant- Athens on 86th, 2284 W 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN.



We are doing a Period Product "drive". We encourage all attendees to participate by bringing supplies (tampons, pads, et al). We plan to donate these products to local shelters/pantries in need.

Indianapolis NOW was the host for the 2025 IN NOW state conference on 9/20/25. Keynote speaker Sheila Seuss Kennedy provided insightful commentary on history and status of women's reproductive rights and what the future might hold if the public can not derail Trump's plan for dictatorship. Several suggestions on how to get more active to stop this threat were included. Please read Sheila's blog-

The afternoon panel discussion (led by IN NOW Legislative Coordinator Laurie Gray) with State Representatives Renee Pack and Carey Hamilton was just as informative. Q&A included lively dialogue on gerrymandering, getting our voices heard and the need to improve the quality of life for all Hoosiers.
