Nexgeneracers (NXG)

Nexgeneracers (NXG) NXG Youth Motorsports offers experiential learning programs using go-kart driving as a training tool for life-skill development. (Free to spectators.)

Participants engage in both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. The Lucas Oil/NXG Motorsports Program is scheduled on weekends between February and October. We offer a three progressive class levels for youth: Level 1) Introduction to Go-Kart Driving, Level 2) Competitive Driving, and Level 3) Advanced Performance Driving. Events and classes are conducted over a weekend. Competition is typ

ically held on Sundays. Individual courses serve a class size of up to 20 student participants. There are both on-track and classroom activities totaling several hours of training. Each course concentrates on seven key fundamentals:

1) safe driving skills
2) problem-solving and quick decision-making
3) safe use and maintenance of motorized equipment
4) physical conditioning and hand/eye coordination
5) discipline, leadership & teamwork
6) math & science related to track geometry & vehicle dynamics
7) visioning and concentration skills.
