Turns out seeing double isn't always a bad thing! 👀

As most of you know, we pack some serious WOW into our intimate venue. ✨ But all that glam onstage requires some serious heavy lifting behind the scenes. In fact, ticket sales cover only about 31% of what it takes to bring these world-class artists and our extraordinary educational programs to Indianapolis. 🤯 The rest comes from generous donors like you. 🫵

That's why our least glamorous tradition returns October 22-25: The Annual Giving Campaign. 🎁 And thanks to generous lead gifts and challenge grants, all campaign gifts will be matched up to $50,000. 🎉

Between three sold-out shows, Aaron Tveit spent part of his weekend at The Cabaret leading a free masterclass for 125 students from the The Department of Theatre and Dance at Ball State University and local high schools.

Through coaching sessions and a thoughtful Q&A, Aaron shared his masterful lyric interpretation and the wisdom that has shaped his acclaimed career.

This weekend, Ball State University and The Cabaret welcomed 25 nominated Central Indiana high school students for a new Audition Readiness Intensive focused on coaching, mentorship, and college audition preparation.

Selected through nominations from their music and theater teachers, these students demonstrated exceptional talent, commitment, curiosity, and passion for the performing arts. Throughout the day, participants worked closely with Ball State faculty, alumni ambassadors Kayla Davion and Lizzie Nguyen, and current BSU Musical Theatre students receiving individualized feedback and valuable insight into the college audition experience.

The free intensive is the newest addition to a longstanding partnership between The Cabaret and Ball State University, reflecting a shared commitment to making high-quality arts education, audition preparation, and artistic mentorship more accessible to talented students across Indiana.

As part of this growing collaboration, participating students may also be considered for a new full-tuition Ball State University Musical Theatre scholarship initiative launching in January. The next step includes a new Ball State Audition Day at The Cabaret on January 16, 2027, held in conjunction with Ball State University's Senior Showcase weekend at The Cabaret on January 15-16.
