There’s a “Doghouse” being developed right across the street from UIndy! This future USSC clubhouse will donate its profits back to specific UIndy departments and athletic programs, as well as towards paying off students’ & alums’ student loans! Can’t wait to start giving back to this great local community! Opening in the spring/summer of 2019. Go Hounds 🐾

South Shelby Updates:

Earlier this month, Liz Biro reported that the owner of Thunderbird in Fountain Square is opening a second bar/restaurant called Jailbird, right across the street from UIndy's campus, at the intersection of Shelby/Hannah. This 60-seat bar should offer a laidback burger, wings, beer and a small selection of cocktails. No opening date has been set, but by the looks of it sometime next year.

Immediately adjacent to the northwest, you’ll find a dumpster at 1099 E Hannah Ave, where the space is being rehabbed for UIndy’s The Doghouse, for the University Sport & Social Club.
Less than a block north of Hannah, progress has been steady on Books and Brews South Indy.

University Lofts had started adding brick. These 118 units (300 beds) student apartments are on track to open Jan’19.

Construction hasn't yet started on the Red Line station at Hannah, but several sidewalks have been updated.
Which addition to the south end of Shelby Street are you most excited for? What else do students and residents want to see here?
