Through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis Community Multiplier Grant program, we recently presented $37,500 checks to both Englewood Community Development and D.R.E.A.M. Alive, Inc .

When we invest together, the impact multiplies, and we’re proud to help these two organizations go even further in the meaningful work they do every day.

What a fall break for our high school scholars!

One group explored HBCUs in Tennessee, touring American Baptist College, Lane College, and Tennessee State University. Back home, scholars toured the University of Cincinnati, visited the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, saw police demos from the bomb squad, SWAT, and the FBI at a law enforcement showcase, and took a welding class with Latinas Welding Guild. They also teamed up with Elevate Indianapolis to make care packages for Indiana’s homeless population.

We’re so proud of our scholars for spending their break learning, serving, and dreaming bigger!

Scholar Success Story 💛

Sierra invited her DA Site Director to watch her 7th grade Medieval history presentation. When nerves almost had her skipping her turn, they stepped into the hallway for a pep talk and a quick rehearsal or two. Then she walked back in and NAILED it. 🙌

Sometimes all it takes is someone in your corner.

What does it take to build a career in sports? Our DREAM Alive scholars found out by visiting The Farmers Bank Fieldhouse and hearing from the team at Card & Associates, where they learned about the many paths into the industry beyond being an athlete. Then it was game time on the turf, basketball courts, and pickleball courts!

Howe Middle School's character lesson this week was all about inclusion, and we put it to the test with a cup-stacking challenge! 🥤

In round one, each team sent up one student to stack 100 cups before time ran out. No one finished. In round two, the whole team worked together, and one team got it done! 🎉

Afterward, scholars talked about what went well. One scholar in particular pointed out how important communication and teamwork were. He also never gave up, and he kept cheering his teammates on even as the clock ran down.

Last week, our students got to hear Jimmie's story and learn how his journey led him to a career at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! 🏁 They also got a look at the Ferrari Challenge, which was racing on the track that day. Jimmie talked with them about why we keep walking even after we trip or stumble.

The biggest takeaway: your past and your childhood don't have to define you. If you have a passion for something, keep working toward it!

What a Sunday! 🏈💙

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Brandon Burlsworth Foundation, 10 of our DREAM Alive scholars and staff got to experience the Indianapolis Colts take on the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium!

For many of our scholars, this was their first NFL game and a reminder that there's a whole world of opportunity out there for them.

The Brandon Burlsworth Foundation carries on Brandon's legacy of faith, hard work, and investing in young people. We're so grateful to be part of that story. Thank you for making this day possible!

What a day at CE Solutions, Inc. - Structural Engineers!

Our scholars got hands-on experience, asked great questions, and put their building skills to the test in a friendly competition: who could build the longest bridge out of straws? 🌉

We love seeing our kids light up when they try something new. A huge thank you to the CE Solutions team for such a fun, engaging visit.
