Now for our sincerest Congratulations to our newly crowned Indy Bag Ladies Queen Ms Tati Darling! We are so proud to add her to the sisterhood of Bag Ladies.

We want to thank Reid Broadstreet - Rita Book Bitch and Patrick Keen - Chantal Devereaux for competing and more importantly fundraising these last few months. You both accomplished so much. We hope to continue raising money and awareness along with you both.

Thanks everyone that came to the showcase tonight as well!

We are so proud of our current Bag Lady Queen, MJ Banks and her reign. She has another week before her step-down, and we crown a new Bag Lady Queen. Will it be Ms Tati Darling, Chantal Devereaux, or Reid Broadstreet/Rita Book Bitch?

Today, our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of our dear friend and Honorary Bag Lady Queen (2024), Richard Gaines, lovingly known to us all as Coco Pebbles.

Richard had an infectious smile that could brighten any room, a welcoming hello that made everyone feel seen, and warm hugs that reminded you that you were exactly where you belonged. He truly knew no stranger. Richard loved unconditionally, embraced life with a sassy yet sparkling personality, and left an unforgettable impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

One of Richard’s signature trademarks was his incredible collection of pins that added even more flair to his already vibrant personality. And if you knew Richard, you also knew one very important thing—they were pins, never a brooch! That playful spirit and quick wit were just a few of the many reasons we loved him so dearly.

Beneath the sparkle was a calm, gentle soul whose kindness and compassion touched countless lives. Richard made our community brighter simply by being himself.

Our deepest thoughts, love, and heartfelt condolences are with his beloved Todd Proper, his daughter, his family, and the many friends who became family through Richard’s boundless love.

Though we grieve his passing, we find comfort in knowing that his light, laughter, and legacy will continue to shine through each and every one of us. Thank you, Richard, for the joy, the hugs, the laughter, and the love you so freely gave.

Rest peacefully, Richard/Coco. Your light will never fade. 💜
