“My father lost his job due to covid 19. My families condition was very bad. My father was very worried but your helping hand reached our family and my family is very happy. They are thankful for all of your help. Yours, Sangeeta."

Through some of the darkest days of the COVID-19 pandemic in India your support has had a great impact on the students and their families. Thank you for helping to continue the student's education, and provide food and clothing.

Your giving to Cry of India is impacting the lives of students and their families! Our teachers continue to educate students remotely through WhatsApp and lessons loaded onto tablets. Your monthly support is also helping to provide for students' physical needs, like clothing, shoes, masks, and food. Thank you for your generosity which is providing the most basic necessities of life to some of the most desperate children and their families in India.

Recently our Cry of India teachers were able to visit the sponsored students from Banjara village that attend Life Center Academy in Jaipur. Because of your continued support, they were able to hand out face masks, and due to the colder temperatures, much needed sweaters. There are no lockdown measures in this village because the residents of this community do not have houses, but rather enclosures created by blankets and tarps. The students from this village still continue their studies through the use of WhatsApp on cell phones. Thank you for your faithful giving which is still providing education, nutrition, health care, and personal development to some of the most desperate children in India.

Our Mission

Out of seeing the abject poverty and the extreme human need, Cry of India was started. India is the second most populous nation in the world with almost 1.3 billion people. One half of India’s 500 million children are malnourished and do not go to school. Fifteen million children are child slaves. One quarter of the children are sexually abused by the age of four. Every 50 seconds one child dies from a preventable disease. Two million children below the age of 5 die each year which is the highest mortality rate in the world. It is from this urgent need that Cry of India attempts to address the challenges. We are not the only answer for there are many organizations that are endeavoring to help and it will take all of us doing what we can to change the destiny of these children. Our goal is to provide nutrition, education, heath care and life skills to as many children in the slums as possible. We do that by providing a safe environment in our schools with loving teachers and caring for families. It is our desire to be good stewards of all funds that we receive. Over 85 percent of our funding goes directly to our Indian partners to address this need. If you would like to help us in changing the destiny of these children we encourage you to contact us to sponsor a specific child or just donate towards helping us make a difference. Thank you
