A new issue of The Educators' Companion is now available on the PAS site! The Educators’ Companion is a free PAS publication, compiled by the Education Committee, focusing on providing percussion education resources to the music education community, specifically for the non-percussionist educator. Please feel free to share this incredible resource with your band director colleagues! New issues come out in the Fall and Spring.

Want to study with Leigh Howard Stevens this summer? There are still a few openings for the Indiana Marimba Seminar hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University June 25-29. See the info below for more details!

Leigh Howard Stevens will be the featured instructor at the 12th Annual Indiana Marimba Seminar hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University on June 25-29, 2018. Activities include:

- Solo marimba recital by Leigh Stevens
- Daily technique/repertoire/masterclass sessions covering all aspects of 4-mallet technique (Stevens Grip).
- Participation in the LHS Marimba Orchestra
- Private lessons
- Opportunities to sample a wide variety of marimbas and mallets
- Social activities
- On-campus housing and food package provided (with chaperones)

Marimbists of all ages and skill levels are strongly encouraged to attend.

Leigh Howard Stevens is the world’s foremost expert on “Stevens Grip” a revolutionary four-mallet technique that he pioneered in the 1980’s. He is described by Time magazine as the “world’s greatest classical marimbist.” Stevens is an internationally recognized performer and marimba designer and the owner of Malletech—a company specializing in top quality marimbas, vibraphones, xylophones and glockenspiels, mallets and sheet music.

Indiana Wesleyan University is an evangelical Christian comprehensive university of The Wesleyan Church. The University was founded in 1920 as Marion College and is committed to liberal arts and professional education.
